Pineapple starting labor – a myth ? - 18 Days To Go…

My wife bought some pineapples today. Apparently she’s been told by my sister (who happens to be a doctor) that if she ate large amounts of pineapple, she would induce her labor.

So I’ve been googling around too see if it’s a myth or if it’s true. And to be honest, I haven’t found anything that confirms this. I found a million hits on people discussing this, with statements like “My mom told me…” or “I’ve heard…”, but no proofs.

So all in all, if my wife thinks that pineapple will start her labor, let her think so. You never know, maybe her mind will convince her body to start labor.
