Go Baby Go

For a long time Mama and Papa have been worried about our son not crawling. We thought he would skip straight to walking.

However it turned out he did start to crawl, not only crawl, but speedy crawl. So what is speedy crawl I hear you say? Well speedy crawl is a word I invented (copyright Papa) which means don’t turn your back to him. Because in matter of seconds Mama and Papa would find junior in another room then the room we left him in.

So, not only has our son learned how to speedy crawl (and thus we have to keep all doors closed to keep him in one room), he has also learned how to crawl up and down the stairs. It’s incredible how fast he learns. Mama stood next to him at the stairs and took his bottom and turned it around and helped him “reverse” down the stairs. Once he figured out that the stairs was not a hindrance for him any more, he tried it himself while Mama and Papa watched.

However his first try resulted in him trying to do a 180 degrees turn to position himself for a reverse, but ended up doing a 360 degrees turn (back to starting position) and becoming confused on what went wrong, while Mama and Papa rolled around on the floor laughing.

Second try went a bit better as Mama again guided him with turning his bottom around. Third try was a success without help and now Mama and Papa had to run up and down the stairs to keep our son out of trouble.

Also our son, at the age of 11 months took his first few steps (I think he’s progressing slowly, but nevertheless its still progress).

I love you my son…
