Baby In – Papa Out ? - 13 Days To Go…
I came home one day, and my wife told me that she moved all my clothes from one of the closets to the other. I have 2 closets, and now one of the closets was empty and the other completely packed. The reason ? We need space for baby clothes. I accepted and got used to spending 10 minutes every morning looking for my clothes.
A week later, I came home from work, and all my (our) stuff from underneath the bed was taken out and moved to other rooms/basement. Again, the reason was, more space for baby clothing.

Another week goes by, and this time my wife removes the handy “hang your clothes things” (see picture) thing from the bathroom, because she bought some shelves where baby things were to be placed. Now this thing, ugly as it may look, is really really handy. I’ve got my office clothes, work clothes, sleeping clothes, training clothes, my wife’s clothes AND a couple of more clothes on that stand.
See, even though I’m really looking forward to being a father, this pattern is getting quite annoying. This baby of ours, who is not born yet, is going to weigh a couple of kilograms and he/she already need more space than I do.
What’s that all about ?
Now the last thing my wife told me was that her family is bringing even more stuff/gifts: baby chair, baby bed, baby pillow, baby toys, baby swing. And I DON’T want to know where all that stuff is going to be placed.
Now don’t get me wrong, obviously my wife moved some of her stuff as well (only a little bit). But I still find it very annoying to have to make all these changes. I don’t like changes.
Long breath… Sigh… I guess that’s the beauty of life. Out with the old and in with the new, or at least make room for the new.
Maybe it’ll be easier for me to accept the changes, once I hold the little raisin in my arms…

I feel for you! My husband went through the same thing. All the baby clothing has to be put somewhere!
